Tony and I grew up just a few doors apart in what was called Bradbury Heights in SE DC. He had been in a horrific traffic accident riding his wagon down our street a few years before we met that left him significantly damaged. So much so that most youngsters would have been profoundly adversely emotionally effected and withdrawn as a result I think. But as others here have observed not so Tony, he was always "up", jubilant and had a smile on his face. Maybe it was the genes he in herited and the nurturing he received from his mother Minnie and father Severino who were the warmest and kindest adults in the neighborhood. I had not seen Tony since we were kids and I'm saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family. ~Miguel Otero
