I had the privilege of knowing, befriending and working with Miss. Mabel over the past three years. She was such a special lady, with a quick wit, radiant smile and kind word for everyone. She will forever have a special place in my heart. Her family is in my prayers.

Ms. Mabel will be missed by so many, including my mother and I who became very fond of her over the last year. She always brought so much joy to my mother whether it be sitting at a meal in the dining room, chatting in the hall or just sitting quietly looking out into the neighborhood. Mabel brought peace to mom and was a very dear friend to her.
We will miss her terribly but we know that she is watching over us all. Hugs and prayers for comfort to Cynthia, Shirley and all family members.

Several years ago, when I lived in Lewes, Shirley Turner and her special little dog Chuck were our petsitters, sometimes at our house and sometimes at theirs. Over the years, they looked after two successive elderly chihuahuas as well as our several cats. I recall an occasion when our Scrappy visited Shirley and Chuck at her mother's home, and the genuine delight Mimi showed him to help him feel welcome. She and Shirley and Chuck were a remarkable trio of instinct and affection for all the creatures that crossed their paths. Sincere condolences to all of you at this sad time,
