Lydia "Bif" Warner's Obituary
FLORIST NOTE: PLEASE DELIVER ALL FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.
Lydia “Bif” Warner, 59, died peacefully at her home in Lewes, Del. on July 18 with her loving wife Chris Kennedy by her side.
She was born in Hanover, Pa. on September 1, 1958, to the late Mary Margaret Murren and E. Burnell Warner. She graduated from Littlestown (Pa.) High School in 1976 and worked for years in manufacturing. But it was Bif’s love for animals that led to her the career of her lifetime. She was an animal care assistant at Savannah Animal Hospital of Lewes where she formed lasting relationships with all her clients and their pets. Prior to that, Bif worked at Clark’s of Hanover, Pa. and Harley-Davidson of York, Pa. before she and Chris moved to Lewes.
In addition to her wife, she is survived by two sisters Cindy Warner Witt of Florida and Pattie Warner Hughes of Pennsylvania, a brother Tony Warner of Arkansas, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be greatly missed by her four-legged “kids” Micki, Max, Rocky and Frankie and by her cherished friends too many to mention.
Bif was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved the Nittany Lions from her home state of Pennsylvania “We Are!” She also enjoyed playing softball and was a great teammate. As of now, Number “20” is retired. Those who knew her will mostly miss her big smile and her sense of humor, especially remembering that “I didn’t do anything wrong.”
Services will be held at St. John’s the Baptist Church in Milton on Saturday, July 21 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pet Pantry of Lancaster, Pa, 26 Millersville Road, Lancaster, PA 17603, or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriot’s Way, Milford, Del. 19963.
