Lucy Zanghi's Obituary

Lucy Zanghi, age 95 of Seaford, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at her home. She was born in Manhattan, NY, on December 13, 1924, daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria Messina.
Mrs. Zanghi made her living as a seamstress. She enjoyed many activities; playing Keno in particular. A kind and loving soul, Mrs. Zanghi brought joy to everyone she met. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Zanghi was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Joseph Gamba, and her husband of 24 years, Tony Zanghi; and her daughter, Margaret Gunderson. She is survived by her son, Joseph Gamba (Roseanne) of Seaford, DE; her daughters: Patricia Najdek (Leonard) of East Islip, NY and Linda Smith (Robert) of Owens Crossroads, AL; her stepdaughter, Patricia McCormick (Harris) of PA; her stepsons: Anthony Zanghi (Joan) of NY and Michael Zanghi (Tammy) of PA; her 17 grandchildren; and her 19 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow the services at 2:00 PM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and keeping with safety protocols, social distancing must be observed and masks are required at all times during all aspects of services.
