Louise H. Bragg's Obituary
Louise H. Bragg, age 99, of Lewes, Delaware passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation Center in Millsboro, Delaware.
She was born August 30, 1923, in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late James A. and Louis (Pugh) Hickey. She is survived by her son, William Bragg and was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Ann Bragg and daughter-in-law Mary C. Duffy Bragg.
Mrs. Bragg raised two children on her own from the time they were 8 and 13. She was the best mother and friend that anyone could want.
Her siblings were sister Elaine, Jimmy, Nancy, and Joan, all who predeceased Louise.
Her son William and his wife Mary had two children, Jason and Justin, and Jason and his wife Katie had two children, Will and Kelly, Louise's great grandchildren.
Mrs. Bragg had a lifelong career as a secretary for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, retiring after many dedicated years.
Following her retirement, she moved to Lewes, Delaware, to be closer to her son and his family.
She was diagnosed with glaucoma and cataracts, which took her sight and age 95. She spent over three years at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Bragg will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
