I only new him through his post on Go Hens.com. He had great insight into Delaware football and you could tell that he love Blue Hen Nations as much as all of us.
I will miss really miss his post and he will sadly missed for that. RIP buddy!!!
I only met Skip through his youtube channel and email correspondence but was impressed with his character, generosity, talent, and worldview. A great fisherman who used his platform and talent to sow seeds for the Kingdom whenever possible and will be greatly missed by his friends from youtube.
Sincere condolences to the Bertrand family. Skip was a fine gentleman and father. His father and mother can be proud of the caring and gentle man he was. He will be missed by all who knew him. William Sheehan and family.
Barbara I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you my prayers is with you and your family. Love Linda Best
We very much remember Skipper Bertrand as a youngster when he lived with his siblings across the street from us at 107 Quaker Rd. He was an energetic kid with an affable smile.
It's just a shame that he left us so soon. Hold on to all those good memories you accumulated with him over the years. He won't be forgotten!

Barbara, so sorry for your loss. I know you have wonderful memories to cherish.
Skip was a classmate in the Cape Henlopen High School Class of 1974. We were saddened to hear of his passing. He had just recently started communicating with us again via our Class Facebook page. It was great hearing from him again. What a great guy. On behalf of the CHHS C74, to Skip's family, we wish you Peace and Understanding and offer you our most sincere sympathy and deepest condolences.

No words to describe this sad news. Skipper was my cousin, my wrestling opponent, my slingshot buddy, my barefoot companion, my tennis partner, my yellow jacket daredevil, my camping thrill seeker, my favorite historian, my favorite youtuber, my theological twin, my favorite story teller, my memory keeper, and most of all, my life long friend. It is with tears I write that I'll miss him more then I can imagine.

Fond memories of Skipper growing up with my 4 children, Jimmy, Gary, Valerie and Jennifer (cousins). A good guy with a great sense of humor and good clean conversation. I am Aunt Phyllis and his Uncle Bud, my husband was his mother's brother. Skipper visited with us whenever we were in town, on the beach, camping, and at our house in Sparrows Point. He was very fond of his "uncle Bud" and always enjoyed conversations with him. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Love, Aunt Phyllis
