Louis P. Michaels' Obituary
Louis P. Michaels, 74, retired from the World Bank, Washington, DC in 1986, where he was Division Chief for Compensation and Benefits. He died Friday, September 9, 2005 at the Lewes Convalescent Center. He had lived in Chevy Chase, MD for 26 years and in 1986 moved to Bethany Beach, DE.
Mr. Michaels was born in Dorchester, MA. He received his BA degree, Cum Laude, from Brown University in 1952, his MA degree from Boston University in 1954, and his LLB from the Georgetown University School of Law in 1959.
Mr. Michaels enjoyed traveling, and was a keen student of foreign languages. He was also an active gardener.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Ann I. Michaels; one son, Dwight P. Michaels of Wilton, CT; one daughter, Caroline A. Lent of Fredericksburg, VA; and five granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
