I was so surprised and deeply saddened to learn that Louis Graziano has passed away. We grew up in the same neighborhood in Hackensack, and remained good friends for nearly 20 years before life took us on separate paths. Louie was a completely dependable person, both loyal and trustworthy. Above all else, he valued family. As the oldest child in his family, Louie was responsible for looking out for his younger siblings, which he took very seriously. I remember times when we were playing ball in the street and he would take a timeout and run back to his house to see that Rosemarie and little Vincent were o.k. The last time I saw Louie was at his house in early 1970. As we were reminiscing about the good old days, he would periodically check his wristwatch and wonder out loud why Vincent was late in returning home for the evening. As I said, with Louie it was always family first. Rest in peace, good buddy.
