Louis Giorno's Obituary
Louis Giorno, 85 years old, of Milton, Delaware passed away on August 23, 2023, after a long illness.
Louis was born on April 21, 1938, to Angelina Gioffre Giorno and Leone Giorno in Port Chester, NY.
In 1954, Louis met the love of his life and true soulmate, Jean Rudzinski. Louis and Jean went on to live their American dream by starting their business within the Village. Both he and Jean put their lives into their work and after a career of spending almost entire days together, they remained virtually inseparable. Louis and Jean went on to have four children, Michael (June), David (Elizabeth), Patricia (Donald), and Russell (Michelle).
In 1998, Louis retired and relocated to Franklin, Tennessee, and later to Milton, Delaware. While in NY, Louis loved his time on his fishing vessel with family and friends on LI sound. After retiring, with a little loving persuasion, Louis and Jean traveled to many bucket list destinations. They remained in love as much as they did after first meeting at a friend’s high school graduation party, some 65 years earlier. Louis would share his love and guidance when his grandchildren spent summers with him.
Louis is predeceased by his brother Peter. He is survived by his sister Mary, his brother Frankie, his wife, his four children, his twelve grandchildren Francesca, Stephen, Christina, Donald, Taylor, Dean, Alyssa, Nora, Megan, Alexandria, Grace, Curran, and one great grandchild, Autumn.
A private gathering will be held for family to join in celebration of Louis’ wonderful life.
Memorial contributions can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 20165 Office Circle, Georgetown, Delaware or to any hospice of your choosing.
