Louella Mae Richardson's Obituary
Louella Mae Richardson, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Lewes, Delaware, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 12, 1939, in Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of the late Daniel and Edith Mae (Johnson) Russler.
Louella worked for Acme for 30 years, where she formed many lasting friendships. Outside of her career, she had a deep love for reading magazines and newspapers, always staying informed about the world around her. She also enjoyed shopping and going out to eat, finding joy in life’s simple pleasures. Above all, Louella’s greatest love of her life were her two girls, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. She always put her loved ones first and cherished the time spent together, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by siblings: Daniel Russler and Joanne Elizabeth McDade. She is survived by her daughters, Lorrie Ann McCormick (Tim) and Joann (Jodi) Patricia Scurti (Jeffrey), her grandchildren, Kimberly Ann McCormick, Timothy Arthur McCormick, Rachel Elizabeth Scurti, and Samantha Marie Scurti, and one great-granddaughter, Penelope Joann Smith. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Ann Russler.
There will be no formal services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Louella's name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org a cause she held dear.
