Lois I. McDowell's Obituary
Lois I. McDowell age 79, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Eldorado, MD, on, Sept. 3, 1935 daughter of the late Brantley Tull and Rachael Wheatley Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Albert Lee McDowell in July 2005 and Karen Rosen in Feb. 2015.
Mrs. McDowell owned, operated, and drove for her own Bus Contracting Business in the Bridgeville area for 36 years. She also owned and operated the "Tiffany Shoppe" where she collected and sold dolls of all types as well as many of her silk flower arrangements which she was widely known for in the area. Most importantly she was devoted to her family whom she loved deeply.
Mrs. McDowell was a member of the Union United Methodist Church, Bridgeville and the Seaford Moose.
She is survived by two sons; Kenneth McDowell and wife Sharon and Dale McDowell and his wife Cindy and two daughters; Sherri McDowell and Tammy Timmons and her husband Dale all of Bridgeville, DE; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Johnson and Albert Johnson and his wife Faye, all of Seaford, DE and two sisters, Gloria Jean Goff and husband David of Laurel, DE and Bonnie Jewell of Richmond, VA; a step sister Irene Brumbley of Salisbury, MD; many nieces and nephews and a long term caregiver Addie Bolden of Seaford, DE.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at 1:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to services. A viewing will also be held on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 PM.
Burial will follow the services at Bridgeville Cemetery,
