My name is Susie Gilpin and I am married to Douglas the oldest son. I have a beautiful story to share that I will never forget. Douglas had taken me to his parents I am from North Carolina and I was a little scared of meeting them. Lois was so easy to get to know. She knew my parents could not afford an expensive wedding dress. She walked into the room I was staying in with a BIG box. I opened it and I just cried. There was the most beautiful wedding dress I had ever seen. She hoped to have her own daughter to one day wear it. Since she didn't have one she gave it to me. She had the biggest heart of anyone I knew. I wore that dress on my wedding day. I felt so loved by mom. I called her mom from day one . It did not feel right to call her Lois. She will always be MOM. I love you always. Susie.
