Lois Erdman Beaufait, age 90, of Lewes, DE, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Delaware Hospice in Milford, DE. She was born on October 12, 1934, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, daughter of the late Levi Centrel and Ann Eliza (Robinson) Erdman.
Mrs. Beaufait received her B.S. in Home Economics from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech) in 1956 and her M.S. from Drexel University in 1961. After teaching for a short time, she met and married her husband of 60 years, Fred W. Beaufait, on November 27, 1964, in Harrisonburg, VA.
She had a passion for the Arts, enjoyed reading and traveling the world over throughout Europe, and Central and South America.
A good piece of fruit, a bowl of ice cream or enjoying all things green in color throughout nature brought her great enjoyment.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Nicole Beaufait; her son Paul Beaufait; daughter-in-law Nicole Waring Beaufait; grandchildren, Steven Gene Beaufait and Emily Marie Beaufait; and her brother Richard Erdman.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by three siblings, Ann Eliza Erdman, Evlyn Erdman Bassols and George Erdman.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the National Institute of Mental Health.
