Pat, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Mr. Bates was one of our favorite "patients". Knowing what he was facing and still being such a positive person, I feel we all could learn a thing or two from him. We will miss him here!!
Lloyd and I became volunteers for Thresholds at the same time and trained together to teach decision-making skills to inmates at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown, DE. I enjoyed volunteering with Lloyd. He was always pleasant, positive, sincere, and inspiring. w
Lloyd was a wonderful Thresholds teacher, and was always called upon to explain and elaborate on the Thresholds Mission. We all miss him.

Thresholds
Lloyd and I carpooled to Sussex Correctional Institution, as volunteer teachers in the Thresholds Program, for three years. I will miss our lively dialogues. He had a generous spirit, and I will miss him greatly.
I knew Lloyd through the Thresholds program. He was such a positive addition to our teaching staff both as a colleague and as an instructor who imparted his wisdom to the students who were lucky enough to draw him as their teacher. We started each class with an opening question to which all students and teachers responded. Lloyd always shared such meaningful view points. I will miss him as I
have during these last few months of his illness.
Sincerely, Chris Oakbrae
