Lisa Ann McDonald-Scott's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Lisa Scott, 59, of Lewes Beach, DE, on January 31st, 2025.
Lisa was born on December 11th, 1965, to George and Nancy McDonald in Reston, Virginia. She graduated from South River High School and spent most of her life in Annapolis, Maryland, where she married and raised her two children.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Ken; daughters, Lexi, and Cassie; her mother, Nancy; and her sister, Bernadette Hyers. She is also deeply mourned by a large extended family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Lisa was the epitome of kindness, and caring for others was one of her greatest joys in life. She was always there for those she loved and was a constant source of support. Lisa had a passion for spending time with her family, especially at the beach, where she would collect shells and listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean. Her happiest moments were those spent with her husband, daughters, and grand-pups laughing and enjoying each other’s company.
She touched the lives of everyone she met, leaving behind a legacy of love, courage, and inspiration. Lisa was a beautiful soul, both inside and out, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Despite facing many challenges, Lisa lived life to the fullest. Her greatest joys were the love she shared with her husband and the gift of being a mother to Lexi and Cassie, and her fur-babies too.
To honor Lisa’s life, a Celebration of Life will be held in Lewes, Delaware, at a later date. The family will provide an update once the date is set. All friends and family are welcome to join.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Ocean Conservation Fund at https://donate.oceanconservancy.org.
