Thinking of my lovely Aunt Lisa and her bright light today
Happy birthday, Lisa. You are deeply missed!
I’ve been at a loss for what to say since Lisa’s passing. Lisa was my aunt and a truly kind person — just a good soul. Those words are so true, but they don’t do her justice. They don’t really show the depth of her sweetness.
I know it’s cheesy, but I keep coming back to the Maya Angelou quote where she emphasizes that people remember most how someone else makes them feel. Above all else, Lisa made people welcome, comfortable to be themselves. As an educator, I’ve thought, countless times, just how valuable Lisa would be as a member of my school, creating a more compassionate, comfortable environment for students and for staff; I’ve thought about what a crucial member of her community she was because of her welcoming nature and her consistency. What a gift to give those around her — constant, unrelenting openness and kindness! How unfair to lose such a mainstay of good! Her passing is certainly a major loss for her whole community and our entire family.
I wish more people were able to know her. I wish I was able to know her better.
I hope we are able to carry her compassionate nature forward to those in our lives.
With love and sorrow,

First I would like to send my love to the family <3 You're all in my thoughts daily.
As for Mrs. Didycz I have SO many memories. Being friends with her daughter I was always over their house, we lived a walking distance away from each other.... we would play sims, the PlayStation, have movie nights, and I could go on and on... I even got to tag along on a trip to Pittsburgh which I will never forget!! Mrs. Didycz always treated everyone like they were her own kids. She was always so fun and had the biggest heart!! I remember trips to Walmart where she was always looking for a good deal!! Or how I found my love of tea from when she would make us hot tea and cookies. She also happened to be the COOLEST and BEST lunch lady we ever had!! lol Always so happy and smiling, she could make your worst day turn around like that. Her loss I know has touched many, the way her infectious personality has <3333 May she rest in piece and never be forgotten. I'll be sure to light a bath and body works candle JUST for her.
with all my love

I had no idea that Lisa was ill. She was one of my first and dearest childhood friends. Eileen and I spent hours on the phone this evening reminiscing. Many laughs and tears. Bob, I am so sorry for your loss. In many ways she was a big sister to me. Sending prayers to you and your children. ~ Mimi Keller
I used to work at the dollar general in town Milton and had the pleasure of waiting on Mrs.Lisa she is such a beautiful soul. I will always remember our Clark Kent look alike conversation. Many healing thoughts for you Mr.D
Throughout my angsty pre-teen years at Lewes Middle, whenever I came across Lisa at lunch she would always make me smile or laugh. She was such a special person. My condolences to her family.
Thinking of Lisa and my Delaware Didycz family with love every day.
Wow! What a blessing to have known this incredibly beautiful young lady!! Lisa was an awesome person. We would joke about our similar traits, mainly because our birthdays were two days apart. She would often times send me a text just to say hi. The last text I received from her was on January 6th, telling me to stop by for coffee. Her genuine hospitality was a breath of fresh air. It didn’t matter what kind of day I was having: stopping by to see her and Bob were the highlight of my week. I am forever grateful to have been a part of her journey.
Lisa blessed my life in so many ways. From the recipes she shared, to the many laughs, to the generous Christmas gifts, to the many cups of coffee and conversation, and let’s not forget the delicious steel cut oats!! Didycz family: stay strong for Lisa!! You were her world!!! While I’m still sad that I don’t get to have coffee and girl talk with her, I am grateful that she is resting. Some days, I could see the tiredness, but she would put on a happy face as long as I was there. No more traveling up to Christiana, no more infusions that she really didn’t care for. Yet she didn’t complain, she just dealt with it in a way that made you wonder where she got her strength from. Lisa blessed my life in so many ways. Thank you, Bob, for welcoming me into your home each time I visited! Thank you Alex & Cassie, for sharing your mom with the rest of us!! You all are in my prayers.
