Linde David Bakke's Obituary
Linde David Bakke, age 58, of Berlin, Maryland passed away at the Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury, MD. on Wednesday October 17, 2012. Linde was born in Lewes, DE, son of the late Earl Finn Bakke (1987) and Marjorie Helen Howarth Bakke (1999). He was also preceded in death by a brother Earl Bakke Jr. in 1998.
Linde, a Lewes native, attended Cape Henlopen High School. He was well known in his early years throughout Delaware as a DJ and bartender at many establishments, however, music was his passion in life which led him to play acoustical guitar and sing in the band “Blue Sky”. For over 20 years he could be found in many venues throughout Delaware and Maryland. A friend to many, his passion and love of people will be long remembered. He was devoted to his wife and children and enjoyed every minute spent with them. Fishing was of great enjoyment to him, as long as the fish were biting.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years Marlena Carol Wilson Bakke; two children, Taylor Bakke and Kathrine Bakke, both of Berlin, MD.; two brothers, Jeffrey Bakke and wife Karen of Townsend, DE and Troy Bakke and wife Jane of Lewes, DE; five sisters, Terri Glesmann and husband Lou of Del Ray Beach, FL, Wendy Martin of Georgetown, DE, Midge DiNatale of Milton, DE, Kris McGuire and husband Dennis of Lewes, DE, Samuela Wray of Lewes; father in-law and mother-in-law Kenneth and Norma Wilson of Berlin, MD; two sister-in-laws, Laura Lee Purnell and husband Troy and Robin Kendall and husband Ross both of Berlin, MD; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday October 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the American Legion, Post # 17, American Legion Road, Lewes, DE 19958
