Linda B. Ward's Obituary
Linda Ward, a cherished member of the Rehoboth/Lewes community, who passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on February 13, 1946, in Lewes Delaware, Linda's life was a testament to her loving, kind, and generous spirit.
Linda, a proud graduate of Rehoboth High School's class of 1964, dedicated 40 years of service to Best Ace Hardware, where she was known for her unwavering work ethic and friendly demeanor. She also shared her passion for flora at Bozies Produce, selling flowers and brightening customers' days.
A true "beach girl" at heart, Linda took immense pride in her coastal roots. Her love for gardening was evident in the vibrant vegetables and flowers that adorned her home, a hobby that brought her immense joy and tranquility. Linda's enthusiasm extended to the lanes, where she was an avid bowler, participating in a family bowling league that fostered community and camaraderie.
Birds held a special place in Linda's heart, and she found great delight in their songs and presence. Her open heart and generosity knew no bounds; she was the kind of person who would give her last penny and welcomed everyone with open arms.
Linda is survived by her loving daughter, Stacey Ward, and son , Michael Ward, both of Lewes, DE. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, touching the lives of many family members and extended relatives. Linda was predeceased by her devoted husband, John Ward, her twin brother, David, at birth, her sister Joyce, and her parents, William and Ruth Blizzard.
Linda Ward's memory will be cherished, and her presence deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A Graveside service will be held on May 31, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Henlopen Memorial Park. 28787 Lockerman Rd, Milton Delaware 19968.
