Linda Ruth Cannon's Obituary
Linda Ruth Cannon, age 78, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 6, 2024. She was born in Greensboro, MD, on Sept. 25, 1945, daughter of the late Alfred and Laura McKnattTruitt.
Linda had worked for many years as a secretary beginning at ILC in Frederica, Bridgeville Savings and Loan and for the lawn care service she and her husband operated.
She was a devoted Life Member of the Bridgeville Vol. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and had attended Chaplains Chapel Church. However, being devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren was her first priority and brought her the most enjoyment.
She is survived by her husband John T. Cannon, Jr (Jack); her children, Jay Cannon (Alicia) of Milton, DE and Laurie Countryman (Christopher) of Bridgeville and 5 grandchildren, Chance Cannon, Gianna Decker, Liam. Luke, and Charlotte Countryman.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Bridgeville Cemetery, Market & Laws Streets, Bridgeville, DE.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE.
