Linda Wirth Reddick's Obituary
Linda Wirth Reddick, age 68, of Rehoboth Beach, DE died of ovarian cancer on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE with her loving husband and two sons by her side. She was born in Baltimore on October 8, 1943, daughter of the late Edmund and Hilda (Schulte) Wirth.
Linda earned her AA degree in X-ray Technology in Baltimore at Sinai Hospital and she later finished a BS in Health Care Administration Magnum Cum Laude at Washington Union College. Linda was a medical professional who worked in Maryland and Saudi Arabia. While in Saudi Arabia, she worked as MRI Supervisor handling duties in X-Ray, Magnetic Ray Imaging and CT scans.
Linda became interested in tutoring children with reading learning disabilities. Both she and her husband became certified tutors of the Orten Gillingham Methodology for reading deficiencies through the Reading Assist Institute. Before her illness limited her activities, she was tutoring TSP students with her husband at home.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Gary Reddick; two sons: Louren and his wife Katherine and their daughter Berkley, and Aaron and his wife Alexandra and their son Matthew; two sisters: Janice May of Sparks, MD and Paula Rhea of Camden, DE; and a brother John Wayne Stolins of Glen Arm, MD.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 Kings Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Ovarian Cancer Coalition, Delaware Valley Chapter, PO Box 303, Flourtown, PA 19031.
