Linda B. Demarest's Obituary
Linda (Bahtiarian) Demarest, age 39, of Lewes, DE, passed away at her home on Monday, August 21, 2006, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 22, 1966 in Englewood, NJ, daughter of the late Michael A. Bahtiarian and Dorothy V. (Magarian) Bahtiarian of Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Ms. Demarest graduated from Villanova University in 1989 with a BS in Finance and earned a joint MBA and JD from Rutgers University in 2003. She was admitted to the Bar in NJ and PA. Her most recent position was as an Associate with Smith, O'Donnell, Feinberg & Berl in Lewes, DE for the last three years. She previously worked for Berry, Barlow & Warrington in Rehoboth Beach as a tax advisor.
Linda was also a past Treasurer of the PTO at Sheilds Elementary School in Lewes, she was active with The Wellness Community in Rehoboth Beach, the Rotary Club of Woodstown, NJ, and a past Treasurer of the Junior Woman's Club of Woodstown.
Linda will be remembered by her family as a tremendously courageous and caring individual who was a devoted mother.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Kaitlin Demarest and her son Mickey Demarest; two brothers, Michael Bahtiarian and his wife Florence of Bedford, MA and Gregory Bahtiarian and his wife Ellen of Lewes; one sister, Donna Wagner and her husband Jimmy of Broomall, PA; three nieces Lucine, Christine, Michele, and one nephew, Brian; and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 23, 6-9 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 24, 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Charlie Arnold officiating. Interment will be private.
