Lillian Maxine Williams' Obituary
Lillian “Maxine” Williams, of Rehoboth Beach , DE, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Washington, DC. Born in Silver Springs, Maryland in 1934, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian Thomas.
A loving mother and grandmother, she devoted her life to taking care of children, serving as a day-care provider both in Homer, NY, and in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She made friends wherever she went and always had a kind word for everyone. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert Williams in 2005 and her son Thomas Nelson Dudley in 1976. Maxine is survived by her five children: Donna (Thomas) Walsh, of Lewes, DE; Barbara (Dick) Kunkle, of Wake Forest, NC; Maggie (Ted) Walsh, of Cortland, NY; Carol Lynch, of Rehoboth Beath, DE; and Christopher (Agata) Williams, of Washington, DC; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A private Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 7 at St. Edmond's Roman Catholic Chuch in Rehoboth Beach. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes, DE.
