In Loving Memory of Leo Cullen Beaudin
July 24, 1932 – August 12, 2025
Leo Cullen Beaudin, affectionately known as "Bo", age 93, of Georgetown, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on July 24, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Leo and Ann (Cullen) Beaudin.
Bo began his career as an assistant at Cody Funeral Home in New York. Following this early experience, he proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, specializing in Mortuary Services. After completing his military service, Bo returned to New York and began working for the Port Authority as a toll collector on the George Washington Bridge. During this time, he also held a position in security at John F. Kennedy Airport. Bo's work reflected a lifelong commitment to service, discipline, and integrity.
On August 15, 1997, Bo married the love of his life, Mary T. Flahive, who later preceded him in death. Together, they shared a deep bond and a love for family and service.
Bo was deeply involved in his community and found joy and fellowship in several fraternal and veterans’ organizations. He was a proud member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the Knights of Columbus. Bo was a passionate hockey fan and will always be remembered for his generous spirit, his heart of gold, and his unwavering commitment to helping others.
Bo is survived by his loving children: Coleen Kettle, Patricia O’Connor, Julie Ellenbogen, Gerad Beaudin, Thomas Ryan, Kathleen George, Michael Ryan, and Jenie Ryan; his cherished grandchildren; and many extended family members who will carry his legacy forward.
In addition to his parents, Bo was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary T. Ryan-Beaudin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958, where a visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 AM. A chapel committal service with military honors will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966, at 1:00 PM.
