My thoughts are with all of you during this very sad time. Lena, like her sisters and brother were forces to be reckoned with. They knew how to throw a party, how to talk, how to laugh and make the best of life, and how to put family first. Just like Great Grammy Kelly, I always had this notion that Norman, Eunice, my Gram Gladys and Lena would just live forever. And in many ways, I suppose they will.
I know the party is loud and lively up there now, that’s for sure! ❤️
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I have so many pleasant memories of Aunt Lena and her family visiting Maine. As Mark mentioned, it was especially memorable when the whole Clark family returned from England with a mixture of the New York/English accent. I know how hard it is to say goodbye to your Mother but can you imagine the welcoming crowd she had waiting for her! May your memories help you through this difficult time.
My sympathies to Clark family in the passing of their wonderful mother Lena. We had so much fun seeing her and all the Clarks on their visits to Rumford where they would stay at Grammy and Grampy's place. I especially remember when they visited after their stay in England. We thought it was so funny they had picked up English accents, and we were also awed by their travels. Lena certainly raised a great loving family and she enjoyed her life completely. - Mark Kelly
Whenever I think of Aunt Lena it makes me think of Easter. All the trips as a kid to go up to Tarrytown on Easter Sunday. The good times we had. With Colleen in her high chair showing off and making us all crack up. Aunt Lena would say stop egging her on. Nice choice of words after hunting for eggs. She will be missed.
