Lee Daly's Obituary
Lee E. Daly, Jr., 88, of Lewes, formerly of McLean, VA, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Daly was born March 9, 1919, in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Lee Eugene and Marie (Garrity) Daly.
He was a decorated hero in World War II, serving in the 28th Division. He was awarded a purple heart and a bronze star.
Lee was a passionate sportsman and an avid golfer. He was a member of the Rehoboth Beach Yacht & Country Club. He and his wife moved to Sussex County in 1979. He was a member of St. Edmond's Catholic Church where he served as an usher.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Daly was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemarie H. Daly (2002) and his daugther, Mary Lee Daly Jones.
He is survived by two daughters, Rosemarie Daly King and Adele Carroll Daly Guiliano; a sister Marianna Daly Edmunds; a granddaughter, Kathleen Kerry McEvily-Davenport; a grandson Keegan Michael Jones; and a great granddaughter, Julia Paige Davenport.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Edmond's Catholic Church, King Charles and Laurel Street, Rehoboth Beach, DE, at Noon on Saturday, April 21, 2007. Interment will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
