Lawrence Rainier's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” Rainier, 70, passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, after a short illness. Born on May 24, 1955, in Trenton, New Jersey, Larry was the son of the late Jean Brenner and Eugene Cowell Rainier.
Larry went on to build a life filled with love, hard work, and dedication. He worked as a heating and air conditioning installer and later as an oil truck driver — careers that reflected his strong work ethic and hands-on nature. Larry married the love of his life, Robin Rainier, and together they built a beautiful family and a home filled with laughter and warmth. He had a passion for working on cars, trips to the casino, and playing cards. He especially loved going to the beach and fishing. Larry's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life, and family gatherings brought him endless joy.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife, Robin Rainier, and their beloved children: Angela Barton, Amanda (Bruce) Powell, April (Dave) Blondin, and Charles (Allison) Rainier. He was a proud grandfather to Anthony, Jaden, Kylie, Ashley, Jake, Devon, Bella, and Gabbi, and a cherished great-grandfather to Izzy and Penelope.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 21265 John J Williams Highway, Lewes, Delaware. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
