Lawrence C. Burton's Obituary
Lawrence C. "Lucky" Burton, Jr, 81 of Millsboro, DE, and Ocean City, MD, formerly of Newark, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at his residence. Born Sunday, July 1, 1928 in Delaware City, DE, he was the son of the late Calvin and Mabel (Simmons) Burton and the oldest of 10 brothers and sisters.
Lucky worked for General Motors for 41 years, retiring as an inspector in 1993 and received an award for never missing a day of work. He served as a PFC in the Army from 1950 until 1952.
Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Gisele ( Feith) Burton, one daughter, Michele (Burton) Fodi and her husband Andrew, Sr. of Dagsboro, DE, three grandchildren, Andrew Fodi, Jr. and his wife Erin, Jason Fodi and Crystal Fodi and three great grandchildren, Dylan, Andrew Jared and Matthew Fodi.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January, 9, 2010 at 4:00 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes where family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM. Military honors will follow services. Interment will be private.
