Mom, it's a really pretty spring day today. If you remind me of any season the most, it is spring. You made every day special but the joy and new hope in spring reflects you so well. Love you.

My fondest memories of Kris are the many afternoons we spent sitting on her front porch, sipping her homemade lemonade and talking about everything from gardening to our grandchildren. She truly was a ray of sunshine. Her sweet, unmistakable laugh always brought a smile to my face.
We shared a deep love of gardening and birds—two topics we never seemed to tire of. She would often call just to thank me for planting flowers she could see from her home, telling me how much joy they brought her. Coming from a master gardener and dear friend, those words meant so much to me.
Kris also shared my love of bluebirds. From time to time, she would call and say, “I just saw a bluebird flying your way—go check it out!” Those little moments were so very special.
Kris was an important part of what made Bethany Beach feel like home to me. Our houses faced each other, and her presence was woven into my everyday life. I returned to Bethany for the first time since her passing on February 12th—my birthday—and it felt different. Bethany will never quite be the same without her.
I will miss my dear friend deeply, but I will think of her often—especially when I am in my garden or watching the bluebirds build their nests.
I serve on the landscape committee for my condominium in McLean, Virginia, and this past week we refreshed our courtyard with new boxwoods and flowering plants. As I looked over the new plantings, I noticed a bed of hellebores—one of Kris’s favorites. I smiled, realizing in that moment that she is still with me.

Kris and I shared many fond memories at the Salt Pond. I remember her especially through the women’s club, where her enthusiasm and active spirit made a lasting impression. She will be sincerely missed. Janet Horgen
Love will live forever and memories shine through sorrow. Thinking of you and sending lots of hugs. Now your Mom and Dad are together forever!

I am so sorry for your loss! Mrs. Spinney was truly an angel! Her smile was infectious! I remember helping the spinney a rake leaves and later that evening, Mrs Spinney showed up in my driveway to all those that helped for ice cream! She always made me feel special! Heaven surely gained an angel! Again, I am sorry for your loss but how blessed are you to have so many wonderful memories! Hugs to you all! Gretchen willingham
I did not know Haha but I adore her daughter, Darcy. Haha clearly lived an extraordinary life, with the ability to undertake remarkable experiences and achievements most will never have the opportunity to while on the other hand slowing down to the very simple moments of breathing the air and taking in the natural world around her. Such an inspiration. I'm sorry for your loss but grateful you had the gift of her being.
Being named after you is the greatest gift of my life. I will forever cherish our memories: 'Summer Camp Salt Pond,' kayaking, sleepovers, gardening, and learning to play golf and tennis. Even when the world shut down, it couldn't keep us apart. I’ll never forget those long summer days on the porch eating ginger cake and watching in delight as Baby Paige kicked in my tummy.
Thank you for the joy you spread, even from a hospital parking lot holding signs when she was born. You helped mold us into caring people by your own example. You will forever be in our hearts. Give everyone a hug for me up there.
Love you, Kiki
Kristy was one of the most exceptional people you could know. Always kind, giving, caring, friendly; she and Ken raised the most beautiful warm family. They were always fun to be around. For a person who spread smiles, singing, and laughter everywhere, there can be no more fitting a nickname than "HaHa."
As next door neighbors, she was like a mother to me. My thoughts and prayers are with her beautiful children, Jaffrey, Darcy, Stacy, and Tamasin.
