Kimberly Renee Dobraski's Obituary
Kimberly R. Dobraski passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at her residence in Dover, DE. She was born in Dover on October 1, 1972. Kimberly graduated from Woodbridge High School in Bridgeville, DE, in 1991 and later attended Norwich University in Burlington, VT.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Dobraski Jr. of Harrington, DE.
Kimberly is survived by her parents, Howard Sr. and Deborah Hickman of Greenwood, DE. She is also survived by her sisters, Katrina Dobraski of Bridgeville, Kristi Hunt of Seaford, Marlene Hinderer (Bruce) of Woodside, Michelle Baez (Andy) of Magnolia, Marcella Keen of Canterbury, and step-sisters, April Satterfield of Harrington and Karen Carter (Bernard) of Dover. Her brothers include Howard Hickman Jr. (Laura) of Farmington, Michael R. Dobraski Sr. of Magnolia, and Kevin Dobraski (Dawn) of Harrington.
In addition, Kimberly is survived by her loving uncle Thomas Cahall (Cheryl) of Dover, aunt Amy Sue Rust (Kermit) of Harrington, and Meg Ziehmer (Darwin) of Dover.
She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews: Miranda Dobraski, Evan Hunt, Kylynn Hickman, Chloe Hunt, Laila Hall, Hailie Hickman, and Hudson Hickman, Christina Blunt, Angie Bowen, Tara Hinderer, John Keen, Lauren Paskawych, Michael R. Dobraski Jr., Victoria Oviedo, and many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Kimberly’s passion for animals was evident throughout her life, and she worked in various roles caring for them. At the time of her passing, she was the devoted owner of two rescued pets from the Kent County SPCA: Henry, a French Bulldog, and Kitty Boy, a two-legged cat. Kimberly had recently lost her beloved Boston Terrier, Frankie. These animals were her children, and she loved them dearly. Another of her passions was butterflies; she wore butterfly rings every day and had a butterfly tattoo.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Calvary Wesleyan Church, 240 Delaware Ave., Harrington, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Kimberly’s name to the First State Animal Center, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
