Kevin Kerr's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Kerr, 46, of Bridgeville, Delaware, formerly of Kingston, Pennsylvania, who left us on August 10, 2024. Kevin Kerr was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, nephew, friend, co-worker, etc., whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on September 26, 1977, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, Kevin was known for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and the passion he had for his family, the love of the outdoors, soccer and music. Kevin worked as a foreman for New River Electrical Corporation, celebrating his twentieth year as part of the IBEW Local 126.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Kerr (Braum), daughter Olivia, parents John and Linda Kerr of Bridgeville, brothers Keith (Jennifer) Kerr of Bridgeville, Karl (Deirdre) Kerr of Baltimore, Ken Kerr of Virginia Beach and sisters, Kris (Keith) Neville of Seaford, Kim (Jeff) Mahl of Raleigh, Kathy Lombardi of Apex, and his 24 nieces and nephews, Brendon, Karen, Abby, Jon, Matthew, Zach, Gabby, Ella, Ava, Addison, Kyle, Korey, Grant, Norah, Maddie, Josh, Sean, Andrew, Emma, Jane, Meena, Vikram, Nathan and Gavin. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Coryell and Bertha Kerr, his maternal grandparents, Willard and Irene Sorber, and his sister Kelly.
Throughout his life, Kevin made a lasting impact on those around him with his selflessness, always putting others before himself. His memory will be cherished through the many lives he touched and the enduring love of his family and friends.
Friends and family are welcome from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 528 East Stein Highway, Seaford, DE 19973 with Rev. Paul Kuzhimannil Mathew officiating.
