Kermit and I shared a love of ACC basketball, despite differing school
loyalties! We played softball on EPA teams; he hit for power but was not the fastest runner. He was my first Superfund supervisor, and I took his place when he left EPA. A great guy!
I am so sorry to hear the news of Kermit's passing. We worked together on a superfund site for the past 20 years. I truly enjoyed working with him, even though we were on opposite sides of the table. We both had the common goal of cleaning up the site. He had a strong. intimidating prescence (I am 5'0") on the outisde, but a genuine and friendly presence on the inside. Sending my condolences to his family. May his memory be a blessing.
