Kenneth R. Shaffer's Obituary
Kenneth "Ray" Shaffer, age 70 of Georgetown, Delaware, left this world peacefully on March 23, 2020. He was born on December 30, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Donald P. and Bette M. Shaffer.
Ray proudly served in Vietnam, in the 101st Airborne Division. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and spending time with his family. Ray was a loving and devoted, husband, father, brother, and friend. He was loved by many and has been genuinely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Kenneth Chalk. He is survived by his beloved wife Cheryl; his sons: Raymond D. Shaffer (Chealsea) and Joshua A. Shaffer; his granddaughters: Raychel M. Shaffer and Riley J. Shaffer; his siblings: Mark A. Shaffer (Carolyn), Carole Hicks (Michael) and Claire Clark; his in-laws: Carol Chalk-Bates and Michael Chalk; and many other relatives.
