Kenneth Alan Phillips, 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 3 at his home in Millville, Delaware after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. Ken was born in Cumberland, Maryland on July 24, 1942 to Wayne and Delphia Read Obituary

Fond memories of Ken carpooling to Carderock to work....the many times he picked me up in Damascus so I could get work done on my car. My deepest to Sue and the rest of the family.
I am very sorry to hear of Ken's passing. I worked at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (over 36 years) and lived in Mt. Airy. I met Ken in Damascus and we carpooled for many years. He was always steady and never got upset with all the crazy drivers we encountered. I remember listening to Craig's vocal and musical recordings during our travels, stories of Kim's children and Sue's quilting and sewing projects. My condolences go out to Sue, Craig, Kim and all the grandchildren and family members. I will always fondly remember him.

Kenny will forever be missed .. he always had a smile on his face each time I seen him. The way sue and Kenneth greeted me to the neighborhood i could never forget made me feel at home somewhere I should be . Grandparent figures to me. The love he had for sue sure was strong and will always remain . My heart hurts for the family. Kenny will be looking down at his wounderful wife , kids, grandkids and family friends knowing all that have supported him through his journey here on earth . Sorry I could not attend the services for Ken . Ever since we lost our only daughter 10 years ago I can not attend funerals.
I will stop to see you in the near future and I want you to know that you can call me anytime I am here to help you.

Dear Sue and family Jackie and I express our sorrow and extent our condolences. The RHS 1959 football quarterback will be greatly missed. In track Ken and I ran the 440 yards and the mile relay together. In the 440 yard run all I ever saw of Ken was his back and the bottom of this track shoes, he was fast. We shared many memorable times together on the gridiron and the oval track. May Ken forever be remembered for the kind gentle soul that he was. I will miss my friend.
