Dad, you would have been extremely proud of your sons these last few days.
I am and always will be proud to say you were my father in law for 36 years. I will miss your smile and your appreciation of all the little things folks did for you. Your spot in my heart aches so much right now. However, knowing you are in Heaven and comfortable makes it a little easier to accept.

Good bye Dad. I rarely said that I love you. But I really do.
You instilled in me core values and commitment to self dependance that are rare these days.
As this world continues to get more bizzare, I am glad that you have escaped. You left quickly, with no pain.
I am thankful that the last years of your life were spent with a closer walk with Jesus. I know that Granny clings to the "once saved" theology. I'm not so sure that I would bet my life on that one.
This life is a vapor. And we will all be joining you soon. Save me a seat at the marraige supper. I love you dad.
