Kelly Anne Carter's Obituary
Kelly Anne Carter age 91, of Lewes, DE, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Cadbury at Lewes.
Kelly Anne was born in Monroe, NC. She earned a B.A. degree from Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC. She was a Special Education teacher at the Charles W. Bush School in Wilmington, DE. She was a member of the Junior Board of Memorial Hospital. She and her husband moved to Lewes where she lived until her death. Kelly Anne enjoyed golf, bridge and the beach. She was a member of the Rehoboth Beach Country Club, Village Improvement Association and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Edward B. Carter; a son, Edward Carter, Jr. and his wife Susan of Wilmington, DE; two daughters: Betty Raper and her husband Byrle of Monroe, NC and Anne Brooks and her husband William of Wilmington; seven grandchildren: Bates, Bryant, Betsy and Annie Carter, Garry and Ben Peeler and Robert Brooks; and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 King Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE. Interment will be private. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homs & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Mary Campbell Center, 4641 Weldon Road, Wilmington, DE 19803 or to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
