Katherine D. Willin's Obituary
Katherine Dunford Willin, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, 10 December 2007 after a struggle with cancer. She died at her home in Dundee in the care of a local hospice.
Katherine grew up in Dundee, graduated from Haines City High School and in 1946 moved to her husband's home in Bridgeville, Delaware where she was a homemaker and office manger for Scott's Furniture Company. After retirement, she returned to Dundee where she was a faithful member of Baptist Temple.
Katherine was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Eva Dunford of Dundee; husband, Caleb Layton Willin II and daughter, Kathryn Victoria Willin (formerly Smoot and Fitler) of Bridgeville; grandson, Paxton Kaufman Smoot of Greenwood. Her sister, Bernice Evelyn Stubbs (Plymouth FL), died in 1960. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryll Lee Willin, Berkeley, CA; son, Caleb Layton Willin III (Mike & Sandy), Laurel DE; two brothers Ralph Dunford and Raymond (Annabelle) Dunford of Dundee, FL. Additionally, Katherine is survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and great friends who loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 P.M. with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, 21 December 2007 at the Hardesty Chapel, Parsell Funeral Homes, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville.
