Karl Martin Korenyi's Obituary
Karl Martin Korenyi, 66, passed away on Friday, November 17th, 2023, after a fifteen-month battle with cancer.
Karl was born on June 20th, 1957, in Princeton, NJ. He was the third born of four children to Andre and Theodora Korenyi. Karl grew up and spent most of his life living in Cinnaminson, NJ. He graduated from Cinnaminson High School in 1976. He married his high school sweetheart, Joanne (Fijalkowski) Korenyi in 1981 and had two sons, Jason, and Dan.
Growing up Karl enjoyed camping and hiking along the Appalachian trail with his family and friends. He was a loving husband and devoted father who often spent his weekends traveling along the East Coast for both his son’s soccer tournaments. Karl spent most of his life working in the ink and paint industry where he created the colors used to print on various paper and plastic items. In 2016 Karl and Joanne moved to South Bethany, DE. Karl was an avid do-it-yourselfer and enjoyed tackling home projects on his honey do list. He was a Karl of all trades if you will. He was a great cook and grill master, especially with an ice-cold beer in his hand. Karl enjoyed spending time sitting by a fire and taking boat rides with his friends and family. He especially loved his 5 grandchildren who called him O.G. (Old Guy) or Guy.
Karl was predeceased by his parents (Andre and Theodora), as well as his oldest brother Walter. He is survived by his wife Joanne, his two sons Jason and Dan, and 5 grandchildren, his sister Kathleen (Korenyi) Edwards, her husband and two daughters, and his younger brother Theodore (Thad) Korenyi.
