Karl A. Heydt's Obituary
Karl Heydt, age 59, of Millsboro, DE, passed away peacefully at home under the care of hospice on Friday, September 1, 2023. Born on January 30, 1964, in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Hilda (Berger) Heydt.
Karl graduated from Whitehall High School in 1982, and was a proud member of the 1982 State Championship Basketball team. After attending Millersville State College, Karl started working for Verizon Communications. He retired in December 2014 after almost thirty years as a Splicing Technician. Karl was an avid sports fan and loved all of the Philadelphia sports teams. He also enjoyed golf, fishing trips to Canada with friends and a good craft IPA. His quick wit and smile will be forever missed by those who were blessed to have known him.
Karl is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-seven years Christina (Hanson), his brother Ken (Cyndie Bilous) Heydt, his sister Diane (Kathleen McGinley) and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
