Karen A. Reeves' Obituary
Karen Ann Reeves of Lewes, DE succumbed this day October 12, 2011, from complications of Multiple Sclerosis. Born July 7, 1957 at Bainbridge Naval Training Center in Maryland; the daughter of Ron and Nancy Reeves of Milton and Lynn and Jake Warrington of Rehoboth Beach.
Karen and family moved to Rehoboth Beach in 1970. She attended the old Cape Henlopen High School graduating in 1975. She then became a part of the beach scene; waitressing at several well known restaurants in the area until hooking up with Hardees on the Dewey Beach cutoff. Ten years as manager of Hardees was a fun job, making many friends along the way. Hardees left the area and Karen's dream of having a daycare became a reality. Karen's Korner Day Care was a great success with a small group of wonderful children.
MS then called a halt to the Day Care.
Karen had a zest for life enjoying family and friends, but especially being "Mom" to Brandon.
Surviving Karen is her son, Brandon; her parents; her grandmother, Mary R. Cole of Rehoboth Beach; her sister, Susan and husband Chris Long of Lewes; her niece Stephanie of Lewes; aunts, uncles and cousins and special friend CR Bailey.
Funeral Service and Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance, P.O. Box 327, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
