I had the honor and fortune to be the Chief of Police in Seaford in 2018 -2019 where Karen was my Administrative Assistant. I was so impressed with Karen as a person who not only was the foundation of the Police Department but truly the heart and soul of the Seaford Police Department.
It was clear she was universally loved by everyone because of her kindness and compassion for everyone, most especially children. She loved her family and talked about them everyday.
The world is much better place because we all had Karen in it in some capacity. We were all blessed by her presence.

Over thirty years ago Karen and I met and made an instant bond. We were so similar in age and so many other aspects that it was like we were sisters. But she was so much more having courage to be independent, help others in need {India trips}, creative and artistic, my keeper of secrets and lover of nature and all God’s creatures.
The most important people in her life was family and I pray the pain of her passing is outshined by the love that she made. My deepest condolences to the family and to Wayne, her heart and soul.

Life gave me the gift of meeting her one day, 30 years back... and from that seed on, we managed to grow an ever lasting friendship. First I admired her smart secretarial skills, then her sense of humor, then her empathy for the suffering ones, then her fantastic ability to listen, to read between lines... to be a respectful confidant, .. so many virtues!. We became family when she accepted being my son'Josep's God mother.
Love was her moto, her engine, he aim, ..I know her loss is heartbreaking to many. My simpathy to her beloved kids that thanks to her caring, I've seen growing into beautiful mature men. A big hug to Wayne, God knows you were the artifice of her latest happiness.
