Julian Emerson Turner "SKEETS"'s Obituary
Julian Emerson Turner, "Skeets", age 87, of Lewes, DE passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at his late residence. He was born on July 29, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Julian and Beulah (Hoehn) Turner.
Mr. Turner and his wife moved to Delaware in 1988 from Norristown, PA following his retirement from the Sears Roebuck Co. as a display manager with over 40 years of service. After relocating to Delaware, he began work at Beebe Medical Center where he retired in 2008 after 19 years of service as a security guard. He enjoyed painting in watercolors, especially scenes of the Caribbean and Lighthouses.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Cresswell Turner; one son, John Turner and his wife Cindy of Telford, PA, one daughter, Leslie McGrath and her husband Edward of Boyertown, PA; five grandchildren, Tracey Turner of Hatfield, PA, Deborah Haring of Bally, PA, Anthony Bergandino of Clovis, NM, Kelly McGrath of Philadelphia, PA, and Edward McGrath III of Boyertown, PA; and three great grandchildren, Chelsea Turner of Hatfield, Ashley and Drew Haring of Bally, all of PA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
