Julia Josephine Valenti's Obituary
On Friday, July27, 2012, JULIA JOSEPHINE (MARIANY) VALENTI. age 94, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away peacefully at her residence with her family at her side.
She was born in Elmhurst, NY on Saturday, May 18, 1918, daughter of the late Julius and Elvira Rose (Conversano) Mariany. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles N. Valenti, who died on March 13, 2011; loving sister of Isabelle Pillis and her husband Luke, Anthony Rose and his wife Roberta, Louis Marianty, Sr. (deceased) and his wife Doris, Rosina Dipino (deceased) and her husband, James Dipino (deceased), Palma McCord (deceased) and her husband George (deceased) and Joseph F. Rose (deceased); treasured Yaya to Anthony Valenti, Julia Bloom, Richard Bloom, Olivia Bloom and Nathaniel Valenti.
Julia attended the Maryland Institute of Art with her husband, graduating with high honors. Julia worked in the field of cosmetology as a hair dresser and as a beauty consultant for Helena Rubenstein. She was a member of St. Stephens Church, Bradshaw, Maryland for over 40 years and upon her retirement, she and her husband moved to Lewes, Delaware where she attended St. Edmonds Catholic Church of Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, at the Leonard J. Ruck Funeral Home, Inc. 5305 Hartford Road, Baltimore, MD 21214, where a Christian wake service will be held on Wednesday at 3:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 8030 Bradshaw Road, Kingsville, MD 21087. Burial will follow the Mass at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 4430 Belair Road, Baltimore, MD.
