Julia D. Cannatelli's Obituary
Julia D. Cannatelli, age 86, of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully on Monday, August 29, 2016, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. She was born in Wilmington DE on February 24, 1930, daughter of the late George R. and Julia Denney.
Julia was a teacher’s aide at the Sterk School for hearing impaired until her retirement. More recently she was a member of the Cape Henlopen American Legion Post 5. When possible, she enjoyed spending time with her 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren of whom she was extremely proud.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cannatelli was predeceased by her husband Leonard and son Frank Cannatelli as well as 2 sisters Kathryn Ribynski and Elizabeth Bonkowski and brother George Denney Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Barton and husband Michael of Hockessin, son, Len Cannatelli and wife, Judy of Newport Beach, daughter in law, Kathleen Cannatelli of Rehoboth Beach and son, Kevin Cannatelli and wife, Robin of Fenwick Island; and her 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren: Ryan McNay, Dusty Hopkins, Kristen Coveleski, Katie Barton, Dana Smith, Kenneth Cannatelli, Troy Cannatelli, Patrick Barton, Colleen Cavataio, Shelby and Lauren Cannatelli, Kade and Ava McNay and Greyson Cavataio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958 where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held privately at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington on Tuesday.
