Julia Ann Bryan's Obituary
Julia Ann Bryan, age 91, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE. She was born on March 16, 1919 in Lewes, DE, daughter of the late Granville P. and Elsie MeGee Bryan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Homer L. Bryan, Sr. While growing up in Delaware, Ms. Bryan was very active in 4H and had attended the 4H Congress in Chicago.
She was a graduate of the Lewes High School and Philadelphia Business College, now Wharton School of Business. After graduation she worked for the Department of Agriculture in Georgetown. She had also owned and operated the Shaker Cocktail Lounge in Rehoboth Beach for many years. Her career was completed at the Blue Coat Inn, Dover, DE where she had worked for many years.
She is survived by her niece Adrienne Woods of Fairhill, MD, nephews Richard Bryan and Homer Bryan both of Lewes, DE, Robert “Monty” Bryan and William “Bill” Bryan, both of Tampa, Florida, and five grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. Georges Episcopal Church, Rt. 23, near Angola. Burial will follow in the adjacent church yard. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
