Lucius:
Saw Judy’s notice in the Washington Post on Sunday, and it took me right back to that wedding day in Glen Burnie many years ago. In fact, I pulled out the pictures I took and saw two young folks beginning a new life together with happiness and confidence. She was smiling as she mugged for the camera – from the back of the pickup truck to being carried up the steps to the threshold of your first home together. I had a lot more hair and a lot less girth. How things have reversed since then. Looks like you’re back in your old stomping grounds on the Delaware seashore, so I guess that the Lamar apple never fell far from the tree. It’s a shame that we haven’t kept in touch over the years. I did turn up two of the AHS Class of 1957 bobby socks’ers on the Internet, and we exchange reminiscences from time to time. A lot of water under the bridge – passed like the blink of an eye. But this remembrance is for Judy. She was a sweet gal, and it was good to have known her. Focus on the good times, and she will always be with you.
