Very sorry to learn of Judy's passage. Condolences to her family and friends. I had the privilege of knowing Judy while I was a member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners and served with her on the Board of Directors. She had a great sense of humor and was able to bring clarity to complex discussions about the role of the Nurse Practitioner and regulatory barriers. She was a strong and persistent advocate for patients and her profession.

Judy was my first cousin and we spent every Christmas together when we were growing up either in Yardley or in NJ where we lived. I have so many fun memories of Judy not only at Christmas, but from the summer vacations at the Jersey shore, at her beach house and more recently in Hutchinson Island Florida.

Just finished watching the service for Judy . I laughed and cried. We used to have such great times together at her home in Newark and at her home in Bethany. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to share some of our stories together. She loved her family so much and I know that you all will miss her dearly. Although I hadn’t seen her in years if I had I’m sure we would have gotten into something fun to do. Now her and Alan in heaven can get together and enjoy each other again. I’m glad she was able to find someone to love again in Fred. I never met him but I’m sure she will be missed by him.

I am so sorry for your loss, Jessica and Annie. I have known your Mom for over fifty years as we were together in the College of Nursing, we moved to Boston together in 1971 and maintained a friendship all those years. I am so glad I got to have dinner on Hutchinson Island, Florida with Judy and Fred. I have so many wonderful memories, funny stories and just good thoughts. Judy was kind enough to meet with me and my wife in October, 2019, at her home in South Bethany and at that time she graciously shared stories about her husband Allen and his mother Beatrice Cloud. Beatrice was my birthmother and Allen Dale Pierce was my brother. That conversation with Judy was like changing for me. Because of secret adoption files in Florida I did not learn the identity of my birthparents and my brother until well after they passed away. With her recollections and kindness I am living the remainder of my life in a very special, different way that only adopted people may understand. Thank you Judy.

II remember Judy when we worked together in the College of Nursing in the 80's. Her girls were little then and they lived in a tiny house in Fairhill. She was a delight, lots of fun, and an idealist, very sincere and caring. Professionally, she advanced nursing because she had a vision of what should be. I am grateful I had the opportunity to know her, she improved the lives of others and contributed to the world.
