LOVING FAMILY MATRIARCH, SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS WOMAN
Our Dear Joyce Kaminkow passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, at home in Lewes, Delaware. She was a truly kind person, known for being giving, honorable, caring, talented, and how easy those things came to her. She had a passion for knowledge and was a voracious reader.
Born on October 23, 1938, in Baltimore, Maryland, Joyce spent her early years in Arbutus, Maryland. Moving to Annapolis, Maryland in 1969, she founded the Annapolis Country Store on Maryland Avenue and was a Historic District shopkeeper for 44 years. Aside from her successful business life, Joyce held many civic, political, and business leadership positions. She was an avid quilter and long-time member of the Annapolis Quilt Guild as well as president of Zonta International.
Joyce’s new life in Lewes, Delaware, revolved around her 27 year long restoration of the Rowland House in the Historic District and her St. Peter’s yoga mates.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Max Gross and Irene Gross (Hittel), her sister Vicky, and her son Gary.
Joyce leaves a legacy of love through her sweetheart of 48 years, Larry Vincent, and their children: Sandy Davidson (Ricky), Lisa Miller (Rick), and Aaron Kaminkow (Radene); also grandchildren: Steve, Alicia, Michael, Kristen and Dale; and great-grandchildren: Clay, Ava, Catherine, Archer, Aiden, Conner, Sevie, Atlas, Lev, and Lilah. Also, a brother, William Gross, and a sister, Irene Carey.
The family wishes to thank their many wonderful friends and neighbors for their support and love.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
