Joseph J. Gorecki's Obituary
Joseph J. Gorecki, 80 ,of Rehoboth Beach, DE departed this life on Januaray 21, 2006 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. He was born on January 13, 1926, in Wilmington, DE son of the late Adam and Kathryn "Brud" Gorecki.
He retired in 1972 after 20 years as a policeman for the City of Wilmington. After moving to Rehoboth Beach, DE he worked for Family Court in Georgetown, DE for 15 years. He enjoyed working in his garden.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Ann (Carhart) Gorecki of Rehoboth Beach, DE; his daughter Eileen Chapman & her husband Michael of Newark, DE; two sons, Emory Edwards of Rehoboth Beach and Brian Edwards of York, PA; two granddaughters Hannah Rose Edwards of Barto, PA and Mackenzie Knode of Beaumont, TX; a brother John Gorecki of Rehoboth Beach; a sister Genevieve Zandanowicz of FL; two devoted friends, Harriett & Dale Magee; and his special companion, his dog "Shelli."
Prayer Services will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 10:30 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call at the funeral home from 9AM till service time. Entombment will be at Henlopen Memorial Park, near Milton, DE.
In Lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Rehoboth Beach Vol. Fire Dept. P.O. Box 327 Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
