Joseph Frederick Rose's Obituary
Joseph Frederick Rose, age 82, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. He was born October 9, 1940, in Washington, DC, son of the late Joseph and Kathryn (Brown) Rose.
After graduating from college, Mr. Rose’s path led him to a thirty-year career in Media, PA, as an engineer for AQUA PA, retiring in 1991, a job that was both rewarding and challenging at times. In 1996, Mr. Rose and his wife decided to leave Swarthmore, PA, where they were living and made their home in Rehoboth Beach. An outdoorsman to his core, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, hunting and the serenity of the swimming pool in his own backyard. His faith was a pillar in his life, and he was a devoted member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. Above all the time spent with those he held dear was what he cherished most. Mr. Rose was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
Mr. Rose is survived by hs beloved wife, Jane Marie (Wiker) Rose; his sons, Joseph Rose (Jeanmarie) of Ridley Park, PA, and Robert W. Rose (Patricia) of Folsom, PA; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
