Dear Tim,
So very sorry to hear of your father, Joe’s passing. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We never met you, but your dad spoke so much about you to us. We became friends several years ago (breakfast friends). Joe shared so many exciting stories about his life. Tim, he praised you for taking such good care of him; you were so dedicated to helping him with the healing of his leg. He’d show us the progress he was making, due to your constant attention. He said you were in the Navy and a medic, so you knew exactly what and how to help him heal. We’d chat outside and inside, while waiting for you to pick him up from his daily breakfast. Oh, how he adored you...You were such a wonderful son and he said so. So many more stories he shared with us. So, today, my husband ordered scrapple in honor of your father and I shed a few tears because our dear friend “Joe” was not there physically, but I know he was there in “Spirit”. My father, Walter spoke fondly of Old Joe while battin' the breeze at Dorman's Donut shop.
